Hawaii’s agriculture is now much more diversified than
it was during the plantation era. In the Wahiawa-to-North Shore area,
farmers now grow banana, taro, corn, lychee, papaya, mango, coffee,
cacao (chocolate), flowers and a variety of other crops. Many of these
products are used in Hawaii’s finest restaurants and sold in stores
throughout the United States and abroad.
